Resume templates

Four templates built for US hiring: US Letter size, no photo, and readable by applicant tracking systems. Pick one to start: you can switch at any time without losing your content.

Six suggested colors or your own, four fonts, three spacing levels. No photo, as US employers expect.

How to choose your resume template

Our four templates follow US resume conventions: US Letter size, no photo, no date of birth or marital status, and the sections American recruiters expect, including certifications, projects and volunteer experience. The right one is the one that showcases your background without distracting the recruiter. Three questions are enough to choose.

Are you applying online to a large company?

Large companies and staffing agencies screen applications with an applicant tracking system (ATS). The single-column Harvard template is the safest choice: the classic US format, read without errors by every system. It’s also the template we offer for free. Boston, also a single column, adds a modern touch for sales, marketing or customer-facing roles.

Do certifications matter in your field?

In healthcare, the trades, logistics or IT, licenses and certifications are often the first thing a recruiter checks. The Chicago template puts your skills and certifications in a side column, visible at a glance, and keeps your experience in the main column.

Do you have projects, or a lot to fit on one page?

Students, developers and career changers often have projects to show. The Austin template is dense and technical: section headings sit in a narrow column, leaving room for projects and a long career on a single page.
