Make a resume for free, no sign-up

A free resume builder, with full transparency

Many sites advertise a “free resume”, then ask for payment, sometimes a monthly subscription, at the moment you download. At CVZeno, the rule is stated from the start: all the creation work is free, and only downloading the PDF requires a small no-commitment subscription at €4.90 per month. You know exactly what to expect.

So you can build your resume, try every template, compare colors and polish every line without taking out your card. You only pay if you’re happy with the result.

No sign-up to get started

No account is needed to begin. Your resume is saved automatically in your browser as you type. When you download, you create an account with your email and a password, or with Google, and your resume is moved into it automatically. You can then find it on any device.

The free alternatives, and their limits

• A word processor: free, but the layout takes time and shifts easily.
• An online design tool: pretty, but some templates are poorly read by applicant tracking systems.
• A resume generated by a job board: quick, but identical to every other candidate’s and hard to reuse elsewhere.

CVZeno sits in between: the simplicity of a form, with a professional result that software can read.

What you get with the PDF

• A file with real text, selectable and readable by applicant tracking systems.
• A layout that looks the same on screen, in print and on the recruiter’s side.
• A clean file name, with your first and last name.
• Unlimited downloads for as long as your access lasts, for every version of your resume.

A tip before you download

Use the free creation to prepare several versions: one per type of role. Duplicate your resume and adjust the title, summary and order of skills. The day you subscribe, you can download all your versions at once.

Questions to ask before choosing a free tool

• Is the price stated upfront? Be wary of offers that only mention payment at the moment you download.
• Is there a hidden subscription? Some sites offer a few-cent trial that turns into a monthly charge. Read the terms.
• Can applicant tracking systems read the PDF? An image-based or overly graphic resume can be filtered out automatically.
• Is your data protected? A resume contains your contact details: check the privacy policy and whether you can delete your account.

At CVZeno, the answers are simple: the price is shown on the pricing page, the subscription cancels in one click, the PDF contains real text, and you can delete your account and resumes in one click.
